Yes! The No Sore bed pad works on its own, but can also be used in conjunction with skin creams, or combine with other devises such as alternating air mattresses.
Nothing, just place the No Sore Bed Pad underneath the wound and remove as many layers of clothing as possible between the wound and the pad. It really is that simple. Keep applying whatever skin cream you or your doctor deem necessary.
Although we are not in a position to re-write or change hospital protocol and procedures. We are confident that repositioning will need to happen less often while using the No Sore Bed Pad. Patients will feel more comfortable and staff will be called upon less for repositioning.
No. The No Sore Bed Pad can be washed in any conventional washing machine with hot water, bleach and detergent. You can dry the No Sore Bed Pad in your dryer on medium or high heat. The only thing that needs to be avoided is fabric softener. Fabric softeners will deteriorate the surface of the No Sore Bed Pad.
Yes, these pads are designed to work on all body types. Even though her weight will be disproportionally distributed to here tailbone, heels and shoulder blades, these pads will work. They will not bottom out and relieve pressure to these areas.

We have some patients using these pads for 3 years now with out any deterioration. Ultimately, it will depend on individual circumstances, but the pads are made for very rugged use.
The theory behind sheepskin is that when the patient lies on the wool, it will create pockets and gabs of air that will allow moisture to escape. Also, some believe that sheepskin reduces pressure. While the air pocket theory might be true, sheepskin will bottom out after its initial use and become a mat hard surface, similar to a carpet. There is little to no evidence that supports the wool reduces pressure theory. The No Sore Bed Pad is designed not to collapse and continually manage pressure points, moisture and heat. We have Laboratory tests to prove this.
Yes, the No Sore Bed Pad can be used anywhere a conventional pressure relief device is used.
Yes, while lying in bed, or sitting on chair, place the No Sore Bed Pad underneath her calf so that her heel is completely elevated. The No Sore Bed Pad will ensure her calf does not develop a sore all the while allowing her heel to recover.
